COMMITTEE REPORTS

Charity: Eleanor N reported in February that there is a shelter at Crest Haven called Oasis for young people who have run away or don't fit into the foster care system.   There are 8 children:  4-16 year olds, 3-17 year olds and 1-18 year old (all girls).  We need twin size quilts for the girls.  They have nothing and will never leave the system. We have 10 quilts coming in and we need quilters.

Eleanor will not be giving out kits anymore. The Charity Committee met and went through piles of fabric and put them into groups.  We need cutters to cut these packs of fabric into 2" strips which will be made into blocks.  We still have 5 kits available.  Contact Eleanor.  Eleanor has made a chart of available fabrics.

16 dog beds were done last month and are much appreciated.

Karen M suggested that we order labels for our quilts.  This was approved by the membership.  The Charity Committee will decide how we should proceed.

ProgramHelen did a Dresden ruler demonstration.

Eileen I reported that in April Meeting: Crystal from Needles & Pins will come to demonstrate a twister tool.
