CAMACO Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by: Eleanor N at 7:00
Visitors: Nancy C and Robert M
Minutes: Minutes were approved with the correction of Betsy Y's frame.
Treasure: Opening balance $XXXXX. Income $XXXXX (dues, badge and Ways and Means). Expenses $10 (program). Current balance $XXX

Committee of Fun: Won by Gail B
Sunshine Committee: Cards will be sent by Eleanor to Denise, Carolyn and Michelle since no member of the Sunshine Committee was present. If anyone wants to send notes to Inga L, we are sure they would be appreciated.
Refreshments: Once again people outdid themselves. Next month (December 11, 2024) will be Helen E, Eileen I, Janet I, Nancy J, Clare J, Diane M and Joyce H. The guild will be providing sandwiches and salads.
Charity: 46 quilts were sent to Ashville, NC. This emptied a lot of our quilts so we need to replenish. The Charity Committee has fabric for reading pillows and pillow cases. There are 3 quilts tops we have that need to be quilted (Dale and Clare each took 1 so there is one left to be quilted). Hold off on prayer quilts for now.
Ways and Means: $111 was collected. Donna F won the Ways and Means gift.
Programs:
We have pillow forms for any Reading Pillows that are made.
Blocks of the Month this month are #10 and #11
Name Badge Holders – we will work on during Open Sew 1/22/25. Joey will also be at Open Sew next week and can help anyone who wants to get started.
Mystery Quilt is 1/15/25. Sue distributed additional steps to those who have signed up to be completed before that date. Supplies, Steps 2, 3 and 4 to be done at home.
December – we will meet at 5:45 for sandwiches and salads. The guild approved spending no more that $350.
Members can participate in a homemade ornament exchange. Put in a brown bag with your name on the inside.
January 8, 2025 meeting – Early Girls Quilt Co. will do a truck show and have items for sale. Bring your money or credit card.
Open Sew: November 20, 2024. This is the last one for this year. No Open Sew the day before Thanksgiving or in December.

Joey G made a presentation and distributed kits to make CAMACO Name Badge Holders.
Dale W made a presentation and shared ideas and patterns for using scraps.

Meeting called to close: 8:45? Once again, I forget to pay attention when I’m enjoying so much. It was a late one.
