Meeting called to order by: Eleanor Neff at: 5:40 to eat and meeting at 6:20
Visitors: Hollis R (Joey’s granddaughter) Roberta M (who joined tonight)
Minutes: Approved as submitted
Treasure: Opening balance - XXXXXX Income $331.75 (workshop payments, badge, Ways and Means), Expenses $308.17 (refreshments, program expenses, deposit for speaker fee). Balance: $XXXXXXx.
Sunshine Committee: Connie will send card to Joyce J who cracked a rib.
Hospitality: For meeting on January 8, 2025: Ann Marie M, Pam N, Eleanor N, Roberta O, Bernadette P and Justine P
Badge: collected $1.50
Open Sew: No Open Sews in December. January 15 will be the Mystery Quilt instead of Open Sew. January 22 – during Open Sew we will be helping members make their Name Badge Holders (make sure you have the paper pieced light house done beforehand), January 29 – regular Open Sew. Time for Open Sew is 9:30 – 4:00
Media: A motion was made and approved to minimize what is on the Blog and just have basic information, Clare will work on that. It will just have general information about the guild allowing the public to realize we exist and how to get in touch with us. We will move files to our Facebook page (By Laws, Code of Conduct, patterns we are working on, etc) The officers will meet and figure out the details.
Committee of Fun: This was held at the end of the meeting and Kitty had presents under the tree for every member. Each person was able to come up and select a gift. What a generous and FUN activity!! Thank you, Kitty!
Charity: Sue reported that 4 quilts have been donated to CARA (3, 4, 10 and 17 year old girls). We are low on quilts because many were sent to Asheville. Sue is also donating a queen size quilt to a fire victim. Please keep the quilts coming, they are truly appreciated!!

Programs:
Blocks of the month for this month are Blocks 6 and 9. Only 2 more left after these.
January 8, 2025 we will have Early Girl Quilt Company coming for a trunk show, they will have items for sale so make sure you bring some money or credit card.
There will be no Show and Tell and our meeting will start at 6:30.

Tonight’s program: We shared a meal tonight and enjoyed each other’s company. Blocks 10 and 11 were displayed. Home made ornaments were exchanged and we each got to show off the amazing ornaments we received.
